Does the PAC10 generate more revenue than the SEC…?
I am trying to figure out where A&M would likely go. (more than likely the PAC10)

“Former Texas A&M football coach R.C. Slocum, who now works as a special advisor to school president Bowen Loftin, said football programs are carrying increased financial burden to support other sports, so they’re drawn to potentially massive TV contracts for more revenue.
“You look at the level of funding that all programs need to have, and it’s a business decision that universities now have to make,” Slocum said.
Slocum said any decision A&M makes will be based purely on its financial impact, and not on more intangible elements, like preserving traditions and rivalries.”
Right now the $EC generates more revenue than the Pac 10, but that is because of the TV deals that the $EC has. The Pac 10 has more room to grow financially with a better TV deal, to go along with playing in bigger, and essentially better TV markets. The 6 schools from the Big 12 joining them, could get that conference a massive TV deal.
And while others are discussing the paying of players, NO conference in the country has had more programs on probation than the $EC, and within the last decade, has had 7 of their 14 members put on probation, and currently have 2 programs that are under investigation. Don’t lump an entire conference (Pac 10) with what 1 school (USC) does in comparison to what an entire conference ($EC) essentially does, outside of 1 school (Vanderbilt).
